Welcome

Welcome to The Orchards on Oldbury Lane website, where you can find out more about our proposals for a nature-led, sustainable residential development on land north of Oldbury Lane, Thornbury.

We are currently consulting on our plans and would value your feedback to inform our proposals.

This website provides you with details of the emerging proposals, answers to frequently asked questions and invites you to share your feedback with us.

You can also provide your feedback at our upcoming drop-in consultation event on 10th September from 2pm - 7pm at Chantry Community and Arts Centre, 52 Castle St, Thornbury, Bristol BS35 1HB.

At the event, refreshments will be provided as will activities for children – fun for all the family!

We plan to deliver around 350 new multi-generational homes, including 40% affordable housing, alongside a community hub, play areas, a community orchard and space for community food growing. Our proposals will deliver significant social and environmental benefits, with a significant proportion of the site being dedicated to new areas of publicly accessible green space - including orchards, wildlife walks, and new formal and informal areas of play.

Sustainability is at the forefront of our designs, with the potential to include renewable energy generation.
